Montana Sky Christmas

Debra Holland's Montana Sky series is excellent! I loved each of the books in the series then at the end of #3 I learned she had written several novellas titled Montana Sky Christmas. Each story was different but connected to the Montana frontier town of Sweetwater Springs. Characters from all three novels appeared and new characters were introduced. They were short and sweet but perfect for me. I stayed connected to the series and felt the emotions of the characters. I cried, I laughed, and I loved reading Montana Sky Christmas. I can hardly wait for Ms. Holland to write another Montana Sky story.

Memorable Christmas Season Novella

This book made me laugh and cry. The last section gave me memorable chills and tears. Yes, you can read the book as a stand alone. However, having read the previous Montana Sky books gave me true insight to many of the characters and a feeling I was a citizen of Sweetwater Springs, Montana. I want to live there, is the feeling I got from this wonderful book.
The introduction of new characters, assures me I will read the next book. The love found by so many as well as understanding the hardships of the characters, brings realizm and truth about the harsh times of long ago.
Language barriers overcome by new citizens to Montana from not only Mexico but from Germany, brought a real understanding on how America is founded on it's immigrants working with English speaking citizens forming friendships. Debra Holland has an amazing grasp of history and understanding between the wealthier ranchers and the poor farmers.
Finalizing this book with A Christmas Pageant, would not let me put this book down. This Novella can be read any time of the year; not just Christmas. It is the heartwarming feelings that are great any time of the year. Thanks for writing this wonderful book.

Heartwarming Collection

These short stories contain enough conflict to pull you in and keep the storyline moving along, yet they come to wholesome resolutions that made me smile in surprise or cry with joy.
Debra Holland's characters come to life, whether they are being mean or resourceful, unkind or endearing. The characters of one story often interact with characters of a previous story. Although each story in this collection is very different, you keep reading about old friends.
Whether for Christmas time or any time you want to fill your mind and heart with something wholesome, I highly recommend you read these stories.
