Decent Tip Book

This is an OK tip book written by someone that obviously loves FPS games and has the added unique perspective of having served in the US military. He offers ideas, strategies, and tips for improving your gameplay in shooters, esp multiplayer/PvP style games. He also gives suggestions for what you can do to practice specific scenarios, strategies, or game mechanics. The reason I give this three stars instead of four is the absolutely horrendous massacre of the English language. If you are going to write a book, about anything, with no type of editor, please, PLEASE use spell check, double and triple check your grammar, and make the formatting uniform throughout the book.

True Review of this Guide

First and foremost, the majority of what you can take from this guide can be easily picked up from playing your first few games on any shooter, so it’s basically common sense at the very least. (And poorly written at that, as another review already stated)
Now to the real reason I am writing, when I read the “reviews” posted on this guide I was almost intrigued and couldn’t wait to read the guide. I love to find and research combative strategy guides to improves skills and relay them to my team. Having a similar back ground (Swat/ Task force) I thought this manual being written by a person with a military background would have some interesting takes with experience to back it up. I was completely wrong, and the “Detailed and Useful” review that someone else posted didn’t help either since, that too, is very misleading.
Now it’s fairly cheap to purchase, but please steer in another direction and search elsewhere if you want a true combat style guide with techniques and maneuvers. The majority of content in this manual is focused on practicing, which will come after a couple weeks of playing anyway, save your money as you can find some actual tact guides online for free.
Disclaimer: This review is strictly my opinion based off reading many books, manuals, articles, and other literature, on combat techniques applied to FPS games. I hate to do this sort of thing because it seems the author put some time into it, however, I do NOT feel like it is a true “Combat Guide” in any sense. My apologies to the author, I just feel that the title is very misleading and don’t want others to pay for something that isn’t exactly what it was titled as.

Detailed and useful.

This was a great book to read and it was pretty useful too. Most book i've seen only tells u how u should play instead of giving you practices 2 improve with. Very detailed too and gives me strategy 4 almost any fps game.
